If you're ready to experience fishing in Morehead City, we've got you covered with Reel Priority Charters. Captain Travis will be your guide, offering years of fishing experience.
You're likely to fish for Speckled Trout, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Albacore Tuna, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Bull Shark, and more, depending on the time of year.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Travis can also take you Flounder gigging.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea!
You'll step aboard a 23' Center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Travis has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Reel Priority Charters is just a click away.
