Strategies to get the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's New Bern vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, picking, and booking the best New Bern vacation home:
- Start by having your family choose dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 2 Bed, 2 Bath Condo at Island Beach & Racquet Club has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
