Strategies to get the optimal New Bern rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply New Bern area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectrental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Carolina Can ~ ???? 3 Story Family Home ???? 1 row back with amazing ocean views ???? has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular New Bern beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
