Tips for getting the best New Bern rental home experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- In the New Bern area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. Reserve your New Bern vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect rental home in the New Bern area:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Pet Friendly And Cozy Oceanfront Cottage w\/Views From Nearly Every Room has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
