When it comes to beautiful on-the-water views, Crab’s Claw Oceanfront Caribbean Restaurant is pretty hard to beat. Located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in the heat of Atlantic Beach, this eatery is a convenient destination for day trippers and beach-goers alike, and is literally just steps away from the sand.
The menu makes good use of this coastal location, with a wide selection of seafood sandwiches, appetizers, and entrees that regularly highlight fresh ingredients. At Crab’s Claw, patrons can munch on unique delicacies like conch fritters, Caribbean curried shrimp, and coconut fried shrimp, or can enjoy coastal classics like Harkers Island clams and a creamy clam chowder. Rich entrees are also available, such as steaks and lobster tails, and visitors who crave a little southern soul can dive into a Low Country Boil, or “steamer pot,” which features clams, mussels, crab legs, corn, potatoes and other veggies in one delicious and heaping personal pot.
Best of all, visitors will enjoy an incredible view of a busy stretch of the Atlantic Beach oceanfront, which makes for some amazing people and ocean-watching to complement the meal. With indoor and outdoor seating, as well as plenty of cold drinks and cocktails, Crab’s Claw is a fine fit for coastal appetites.
