As the esteemed second oldest town in North Carolina, as well as the original seat of North Carolina state government, New Bern has more than its fair share of educational sites and exhibits that will impress visitors from the inside and out. Featuring dozens of museums and attractions, as well as ancient homes that span the centuries, New Bern is arguably the optimal destination for an education on regional and state-wide history.
Upstairs is a traditional style home with three rooms (3 beds, 2 queen and 1 full) and two full baths. Outside has a cavernous screened in porch and then another deck that is not covered so you can appreciate the weather. Downstairs has one huge room with two full beds and one modest full bath. (No central heat downstairs. Ran off window unit). Outside is a enormous gas fire pit and cooking area with a TV mounted on the wall. Outdoor shower. Sizable driveway that will allow parking for 8 cars. We are about a 5 min. walk from the beach and one mile from the fishing pier. There is a walking path that is accessible from the home for walking and riding bicycles. We have assorted things in the garage that are complimentary to use such as coolers, assorted beach games and a few bicycles.
