Book your next trip with Custom Sportfishing and find out what you’re missing in Beaufort. Your guide for the day is Captain Jon, so you’ll benefit from years of sportfishing experience.
There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Wahoo, Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Gray Triggerfish, Black Seabass, Vermilion Snapper, and more if you come at the right time of year. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Custom Sportfishing is a kid-friendly charter service, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your excursion begins aboard a 61’ Weaver sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jon will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 15-20% tip(CASH ONLY).
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Custom Sportfishing.
