How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply New Bern area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 2nd-Floor Condo in Oceanfront Location w\/Shared Pool, Balcony, Free WiFi has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's a specific New Bern attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
