How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:
When to reserve a New Bern rental & When to go:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect New Bern vacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. A Place at the Beach III Family Resort. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
