How to book the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 107 W Bogue Blvd Unit 3 Sleeps 7-2 BR-3 Levels-Overlooks Pool-steps from Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific New Bern destination you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
