About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home

The clean whites and grays of the condo interior mimic the colors of a sea gull. The furnishings is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed for both the foodie who loves to prepare and the guest who is heating up leftovers from one of the many local eateries, most of which are within 1/2 of a mile. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a couch bed in the living room, so the unit can sleep 6. There is a full bathroom with a shower in the primary bedroom, and the full bath off of the living room has a tub/shower enclosure.

The beach is literally just steps away. Step out on the balcony, walk down the stairs, go to the end of Money Island Drive (150ft), turn west (right) go another 50' on Glenn Street, and the state beach access is right there. The beach is wide and inviting, with white sand and teal water that evokes scenes from the Caribbean.

Units A and B (upstairs and downstairs respectively) share a ground floor charcoal grille and an open outdoor shower for rinsing off sand.

Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite New Bern restaurants and activities.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the best New Bern rental home:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. A Walk on the Beach B gets your feet in the sand within 250 ft. Pet friendly has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
