Tricks and tips to get the perfect New Bern vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect New Bern rental:

  • First, have your family decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Bungalows At The Grove #6, Oceanside House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
