Getting the best New Bern rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your New Bern vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- In the New Bern area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply New Bern area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking a perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Blue Water D105; Oceanview condo, Atlantic Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
