The historic Windsor House is a fast walk to the oceanside, stores, waterfront, eateries, and ferry (just 2 blocks from Front Street), The front porch is a favorite to sit on the porch swing and rocking chairs... ideal for appreciating breezy evenings or mornings with the birds. The bungalow offers 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, to include a queen bed, double/full bed, and 2 twin beds. The freshly refreshed kitchen is equipped with microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, toaster oven, refrigerator, pots/pans, dishes/silverware, and much more. The living room has a comfortable couch and chair, 32" streaming HDTV (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc), Wi-Fi and wood floors. The dining room table sits 6, and two reading chairs. The utility room offers a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. There is also an outdoor shower that is ideal for hot days and after fun at the beach. Saturday morning farmers market and just around the corner.

Located in Beaufort, this vacation home is near the beach. Morehead City Yacht Basin and Town Creek Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters. Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the New Bern area. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.

  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.

If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise.
