The kitchen is located within the same open space and offers all of the usual items needed to prepare a week’s worth of meals.
To the right of the great room is the primary suite with a Queen bed and enormous private bath. A modest hallway with a laundry area leads to the second bath and another guest room offering a Queen bed. To the left of the great room is the third guest room with 2 twin beds. Also on the left side, off the living area, is the cavernous screened porch with both dining and seating. Off the dining area is a huge sun deck on the back of the home overlooking the natural area. As part of the Spinnaker’s Fresh Bed Promise all linens are laundered between guests.

Vacation rental booking tips:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider changing your family's New Bern vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the New Bern area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best rental in the New Bern area:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Home with golf cart, community pool, easy access,Spinnakers Reach community has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- If there's a specific New Bern beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
