Tips to get the very best New Bern rental home experience:
When to visit New Bern & When to book:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's New Bern trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Moonlight Suite 198* has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
