Tips for getting the best Indian Beach rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the New Bern area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for local tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental:

  • Start by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean Club K102, Soundview Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
