Tips to get the best Indian Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- Summertime is high season in Indian Beach. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular New Bern attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect rental in Indian Beach:
- Start by having your family commit to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Spectacular Views! Fantastic modern condo right on the water! Unit 201 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain New Bern beach you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
