How to get the best Indian Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Indian Beach. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Ocean Club B302, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
