When you book this elegant first-floor suite at Sands Villas, just four miles from Shevans Park, you can step right off the elevator to arrive at your door. Savor a spectacular view of the outdoor swimming pool from your living room or your balcony. You'll appreciate the enormous and open living space that includes a wet bar and dining area when you settle into the living room to watch a good movie on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV. The full kitchen includes granite countertops, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The kitchen is completely equipped to help you prepare your meals and there is plenty of seating to savor a meal together at the dining table with seating for four guests. The kids can chatter away from the bar stools at the counter.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed with a wall-mounted TV and a ceiling fan, plus a great pool view. The main bath is private with a walk-in shower and granite countertops. The second bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed with a ceiling fan. There is a separate den area when you enter that has a sleeper couch and wall-mounted TV. The full bath in the hall has a walk-in shower and granite countertops.

Sands Villas has elevators, an outdoor pool with outdoor bathrooms, an indoor pool, tennis and basketball courts, and shared outdoor charcoal grilles along with gated access. Free WiFi is supplied, as is a private, stacked washer and dryer.

Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail and Rachel Carson Reserve reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and North Carolina Maritime Museum.   • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection.   • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited.   • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
