Make some memories in Morehead City and go fishing with Tail Chaser Charters. Captain Mark will be your guide, bringing aboard years of local experience.
Species like Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Speckled Trout, Wahoo, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Sheepshead, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Black Seabass, Gag Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 24’ Sea Ox center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Mark will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Tail Chaser Charters is just a click away.
