Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the New Bern area. To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Poolside Ground Floor Studio Unit #125. Just a few steps to the ocean :) has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain New Bern attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
