Take a day trip to Beaufort and discover both its history and charm or go to Cape Lookout for a tour and climb the lighthouse.

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the New Bern area. Booking your New Bern vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection.
