Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking your New Bern vacation home:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful Spacious Penthouse has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a specific New Bern beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
