The fenced backyard features a gas grille and a shaded porch hangout area, plus two enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers to rinse off after beach days.
This home is designed for creating memorable family moments! Smoking is not allowed. Typical stays run Sunday to Sunday, but flexible dates are available depending on the season. Booking the best New Bern rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Start by having your group decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Dogs OK! Steps away from the beach ~ 4BR! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
