Booking the best New Bern vacation property experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your New Bern rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the right New Bern vacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Newly renovated: Atlantic Beach Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
