Strategies to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to book a New Bern rental home & When to go:

  • Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. HOT SUMMER DEAL! CAN'T STAY A WEEK? 3 NIGHT MINIMUM, YES EVEN IN THE SUMMER!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If there's a particular New Bern attraction you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
