Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- To find the best value, shift your family's New Bern vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply New Bern area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself.
