Our top Pine Knoll Shores rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Surf\/Break, Soundside House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a certain New Bern attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
