Tips and Tricks to get the optimal New Bern rental home experience:
When to visit Emerald Isle & When to reserve a Emerald Isle rental home:
- In the New Bern area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the New Bern area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply New Bern area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. WATERFRONT! Tranquility bytheSea, CShoreBeachHome, Across from Beach onthe Sound has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
