Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Start by having your family commit to dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 2-story dog & snowbird-friendly home with sound views, balconies, deck, & W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
