How to book the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • To find the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. A Block from the Dock - 4 kayaks - 5 bikes - Beach gear - Gameroom garage - Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
