How to book the best vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular New Bern attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the New Bern area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Beaufort:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Anchors Aweigh -Pet Friendly Cottage In Historic Seaside Beaufort, NC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
