SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD: Guest suite is located in the of a safe, private, neighborhood.

PRIVATE CUL-DE-SAC LOT: Suite is on first floor of a single-family home located on a wooded, cul-de-sac lot which limits the view to neighboring homes. The home is adjacent to a park, so it is not uncommon see a variety of birds, deer, and other wildlife.

WALK OR BIKE TO EVERYWHERE: Emerald Isle has broad walking and bicycle paths, so you can get just about anywhere on the island without a car if you appreciate traveling on foot or bicycle.

HALF-MILE FROM BEACH: Located 1/2 mile from the beach (3 min. bicycle ride, 7 min. power walk, 15 mins. for turtles).

HALF-MILE FROM PARK: There is a nature park within a half-mile walk of our home. They have walking paths to the sound, a kayak launch, modest pier for fishing, frisbee golf, bathroom facilities when available.

RESTAURANTS / SHOPS: There are also numerous eateries and stores within a 1/2 mile and many more within a mile. You can use the bicycles to ride to the local beach and to many other places on the island. There is a beach, a park, eateries and stores within about a half-mile of our home. Nearly everything on the island is within 3 miles of our home. We have two beach cruiser bicycles which you may use at your own risk with a signed waiver (be especially careful during the busy summer). There is car parking available for the public beaches (sometimes there is a parking fee on weekends during the summer). Uber is also available on the island.

Emerald Forest Golf and Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. • June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
• The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
