How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to reserve a New Bern rental home & When to go:

  • Booking your New Bern vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain deals for local tours and attractions.

Choosing the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Crystal View 104H, Oceanview Soundside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
