Booking the best vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in the New Bern area. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular New Bern attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best vacation home in the New Bern area:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Emerald Isle, NC oceanfront duplex with a pool! has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual New Bern destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Have a great stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
