Getting the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Make a plan and pick the perfect New Bern vacation home:
- Select your dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Great location - 2nd row, 2 kitchens, oceanviews, heated pool & volleyball Ct has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
