Tricks and tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the New Bern area. Reserve your New Bern vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First, have your group agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront, 1st-Floor Condo with Patio, WiFi, Washer\/Dryer & Shared Pools\/Grills has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
