Pine Knolls Shore area offers a more casual, family-aligned experience than most NC or SC resort areas are offering these days. The location of this community is set somewhat apart from the hustle and bustle, and the clean, broad beaches provide an inviting hideaway for couples and families. The unit has two floors, sleeps 6 comfortably (that is the max. number of occupants) and has been completely refreshed for 2021. It is a great location just steps from the beach and pool.
This modest development, Pine Knoll Townes III, is occupied mostly by residents and out-of-town homeowners lending itself to a friendly, safe and mature ambiance (i.e. no wild events). Kids especially adore the ease of beach to pool to condo access. The NC Aquarium is right down the street, Lost Treasure mini golf & raceway about 3 miles, Fort Macon 8 miles, and a short ride to historic Beaufort. Please: No smoking and No family pets allowed for renters as per condo rules.

Also: Most people bring their own linens. If you choose to use our service, there is a fee. You should bring some beach towels and beach chairs.

Pine Knoll Shores vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanview Unit in Desirable, Family-Friendly Community. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the host before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
