Pine Knolls Shore area offers a more casual, family-aligned experience than most NC or SC resort areas are offering these days. The location of this community is set somewhat apart from the hustle and bustle, and the clean, broad beaches provide an beautiful hideaway for couples and families. The unit has two floors, sleeps 6 comfortably (that is the max. number of occupants) and has been completely refreshed for 2021. It is a great location just steps from the beach and pool.
This modest development, Pine Knoll Townes III, is occupied mostly by residents and out-of-town homeowners lending itself to a friendly, safe and mature ambiance (i.e. no wild events). Kids especially adore the ease of beach to pool to condo access. The NC Aquarium is right down the street, Lost Treasure mini golf & raceway about 3 miles, Fort Macon 8 miles, and a short ride to historic Beaufort. Please: No smoking and No family pets allowed for renters as per condo rules.
Also: Most people bring their own linens. If you choose to use our service, there is a fee. You should bring some beach towels and beach chairs.

How to find the best Pine Knoll Shores vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking the rightrental:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanview Unit in Desirable, Family-Friendly Community. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a specific New Bern destination you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
