Located in Atlantic Beach, this vacation home is by the ocean.   • June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. To book the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
