Tricks and tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the New Bern area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Southwinds A17 - 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Oceanfront Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
