Indian Beach rental property booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking the rightrental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Summer Winds 221, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
