Getting the best rental experience:
Get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Indian Beach. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Indian Beach:
- To start, have your family choose trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Summer Winds B-235, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If not, call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
