How to get the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a New Bern rental home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your New Bern vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies supply New Bern area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
