Tips to get the optimal New Bern vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the New Bern area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New Beaufort home at Beau Coast Retreat for ultimate comfort and fun! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific New Bern beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
