Atlantic Beach rental property booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- To get the best rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply New Bern area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick the rightvacation home:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Ocean Front Ocean View, With Private Heated Pool & Hot Tub has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain New Bern destination you simply love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
