Tricks and tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your New Bern vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the New Bern area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply New Bern area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 2024 Totally Renovated Oceanview condo Indoor\/Outdoor Pool, 150' Waterslide Wifi has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for a great stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
