How to book the best Indian Beach vacation property experience:
Get the best value:
- To find the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- First, have your group choose trip dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Summer Winds A-104, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific New Bern destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
