Tips to get the optimal New Bern rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in New Bern. Booking in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply New Bern area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself.
