Neverland is one of a kind home in the area. It consists of 4 bedrooms 2 baths home on the two top floors and a handicap assessable apartment on the lower level with 2 bedrooms and one bath. There are 2 full kitchens, 2 livings areas, 2 laundry rooms, a second floor screened in porch with outside shower and a sun deck and gas grille. Lower level has a patio and another gas grille. Plenty of parking too. Walking up to the second floor entrance you will be greeted by Tic Toc Crock and the adventure begins. Open the front door and be amazed at the mural of Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Michael flying towards Captain Hooks pirate ship. The room you have just entered is great room with a 55” TV on top of a gas fireplace, wrap around couch with huge ottoman to play games with plenty of other chairs and a secluded table and chairs to do a puzzle. The dining room has a table that will seat 8 which opens into the great room. The kitchen is a state of the art chef kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 2 sets of pots and pans, all the cooking silverware needed to make a memorable meal and plenty of dishes and silverware to feed 16. The counter tops are granite which wrap around to form a bar that will seat 6 more people. Going down the hall you come to a bath with walk in shower that services the two bedrooms on this floor. One bedroom has a Queen bed with tons of antiques. The bigger bedroom has a king size bed with a door accessing the screened in porch. On the porch you can sit on the swing, rock in the rocking chairs or sit at the Pub Table looking out at tree level giving you the feeling of being in the Peter Pan Tree House. Go out the screened door and you will be on the deck, a great place to sunbath and use the grille. From there you can open the gate and go down the outside stairs to the yard and play Cornhole or go through the other door into the dining room with the delicious food you have just grilled. Now the adventure gets better at the front door you will see a real brass porthole leading to the upstairs, this is a fabulous place to take memorable photos of your kids peering thru while sitting on the stairs watching TV. But wait the stairs has a visitor, Caption Hook with his spyglass looking for Tinkerbell. Being too intelligent “Tink” is staying out of view and flying around at the top of the stairs. Once up the steps the room to the left is the kids getaway as they walk in they will be in the water of the Blue Lagoon with fishes swimming around on the rug. The room is full of games, toys, books, TV and DVD to watch on the 2 Daybeds and 2 Trundles, supplying many hours of fun. Go down the hall into the bathroom and again you are now under water tons of fish floating around the room and even on the on the shower curtain that is covering a deep tub and shower to be able to wash the lost boys and mermaids without them running away. The last bedroom is above water with a Queen size bed and is decorated with seagulls and Herrings with a painting of the Beaufort NC old fishing shack. The ground floor apartment, is ideal for the guest who would rather not have stairs. There is no theme just comfort. When you come in the front door you are in a great room with a comfortable living room, well supplied kitchen with stainless appliances and quartz counter tops with a bar that seats 2 and a dining area that seats 6. The bathroom is humongous with a walk in shower and all the rails to be handicap accessible. The enormous bedroom has a Queen bed, a sitting area with a TV and plenty of books. The second bedroom can be an office with a writing desk book cases and a daybed and trundle so it sleeps 2. This apartment has plenty of storage space as well. Outside the front door is the patio and a separate area for the grille. The two living area are connected by an indoor staircase. So if you want privacy just slip away to this level but don’t be surprised if you get a lot of guestsThere are plenty things to do in the home with games, puzzles and books. The home has commercial level WIFI so all 5 TVs are Intelligent and set up for streaming. The beach is only a 7 min. walk away and we provide 2 wagons to help take all your gear for a big day at the beach. The town bicycle path is right out our front door you can stay on the path and ride safely for over 21 miles and going one mile down to town. Bring your own bicycles or rent bicycles which can be delivered and picked up at the home. The home is located in such a great place, in addition to the beach there are many near by eateries, bars, recreational facilities including tennis, putt putt and playgrounds and don’t forget the Bogue Pier. The Town of Emerald Isle lies on Bogue Banks, the southernmost island of the North Carolina Outer Banks. Our home is located at the secluded western end of the island known as 'The Point'. It is a 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath home on a corner lot. with wood, tile and carpeted floors, Anderson windows, four Covered Decks (2 upper decks with Porch Furnishings, front lower deck with 2 porch swings). Directv with high speed internet access.The double carport on the ground level is deep enough to accommodate four cars. On the rear of the home, under the lower deck, there is a tiled patio with a swing and patio furnishings, and 4-burner gas grille. It is a great place to relax while watching others play 'kick-the-can' or while preparing the 'daily catch' on the grille. Adjacent to the patio is a private, enclosed hot/cold shower with an enclosed changing area. After a day at the beach, this is a stop that shouldn't be missed. At the front of the lower level, the door opens to the entryway, with french doors left and right leading to identical master bedrooms. Each has a king bed, a full bath, a enormous walk-in closet, a TV and Roku. Each is ideal for a peaceful getaway after a busy day or simply for a peaceful nighttime's sleep. Beyond the entryway, though another set of french doors, is a sizable 20' X 14' living area with 52' LCD SONY TV and Roku. A third bedroom has a queen bed, double closet and a Intelligent TV. A fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds, a double closet and a TV and DVD player. These two bedrooms share a tiled bath across from which is the laundry area with a washer and new dryer. The cabinets include cleaning products and light bulbs.Blankets and additional pillows are included in each bedroom.One of the main attractions is the upper level with its open floor plan. Vacations are for gatherings and conversations and laughs and this accepts everybody to share some time together. At the top of the stairs is a dining table that seats eight. Across the room is a very well-equipped kitchen and pantry separated from the 8 seat square dining table by a breakfast bar and eight bar chairs. For those who have been guests before, you will recognize this as the site of our annual 'pancake eating contest'. The kitchen has a Keirug and Mr. Coffee maker, crock pot, huge pot for low country boil, many serving dishes and tons of silverware and cookware, electric grille pan, blender, and old-fashioned milkshake blender, toaster oven with air fryer, waffle iron, electric mixer, tea kettle, spices and herbs, mini refrigerator in the pantry, placemats, microwave, and a double oven.In the front of the room is a sitting area with couch and chairs that surround a tiled fireplace with gas logs (it is not useable), a 47' LCD SONY TV and Roku. Surround-sound stereophonic equipment with iPhone connection completes the set-up. On the front, sliding glass doors open onto a covered deck with porch furnishings. It is from here that the spectacular vistas of sunrises and sunsets and the sweeping picture of ocean and inlet makes this one of my favorite spots. Another set of sliding glass doors open onto the back covered deck, also equipped with porch furnishings. This is a particularly quit spot, protected from the ocean breeze, with vistas of the sound. We have taken advantage of this for a number of peaceful, calming 'dinners under the stars'. Each deck is equipped with a table with 4 surrounding chairs for outside dining.There is a choice of access to the beaches. Go left to the walkway that will take you over the dunes or go right to the broad expanse of 'The Point'. Either way, you have open space enough for picnics, games and even a touch of solitude. Since I became sole owner of the East side of my duplex I have been doing updates every year. I have had nearly the entire duplex painted from a tired yellow to relaxing blue tones. I have put in new appliances, furnishings, granite counter tops, resurfaced the tubs, put in a kitchen tiled backsplash, added LED lighting in the kitchen and under the countertops, changed out light fixtures in bathrooms, put in new vanities, put in a new air compressor, and many other updates. This year an addition has been started to add another bathroom so the home will a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom duplex. The contractors are also building a new laundry upstairs in the home. The addition is expected to be finished mid April.The home has a bright, airy, bungalow feel and is a ideal place to relax. Admire the view from the inside or step outside onto the covered porch to catch an oceanfront breeze sitting in one of the 4 rocking chairs on the deck. There is also a dune landing steps from the beach with a bench and more magnificant vistas. Due to Emerald Isle's restricted off street parking the gorgeous beaches are never busy. Conveniences also include hi-speed wireless service, outdoor shower and washer/dryer. There will access to two washer and dryers. The one inside the home as well as a shared one downstairs under the main living area.The kitchen which has been completely refreshed since 2021 with new updates every year is very well supplied. There is blender, mixer, electric can opener, modest electric food chopper, electric griddle, tons of pots and pans, tons of bowls, etc. I freshly had the popcorn ceiling removed and dimmer cam lighting installed as well as a back splash and pull out drawers in the bottom cabinets. The doors were all removed and newly "shot painted". Besides having a new laundry room upstairs inside of the home my guests have access to the downstairs shared laundry room. You may not choose to use the laundry room downstairs, but this room also contains some body boards and other beach gear that either side of the duplex can use. I keep some beach toys inside of the home under the stairs in a sizable plastic container as well. Additional Information: Emerald Isle's unique location affords homes on the island both handsome sunrises and sunsets. Our home is located at the end of a no-through street so there is no traffic. The home is located mins. from eateries, shopping, golf, kayaking, movie theaters, fishing, cycling, water slide parks, pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, an aquarium and many other activities. Other interests in the area include visits to historic Beaufort, Fort Macon, Swansboro, 1/2 or full day trips to Hammocks Beach State Park or Cape Look Out. (Both of these islands do not have any homes or commercial development and have great shelling.)Units are Sunday-Sunday. There is a no smoking policy and no family pets are allowed. You must be at least 25 years old to rent the property. Prices listed are for weekly units. Nightly units are available off season or last min. during prime season if a week opens up.
